Day 11: Madurai - Rameshwaram - Madurai excursion

After having breakfast at the hotel, proceed for a full day sightseeing trip to Rameshwaram.

Arrive Rameshwaram after a journey of 130 km (2.5 hrs)

A major pilgrimage centre for the Hindu's, Rameshwaram is an island city where gentle breeze carry along the fragrance of casurina trees and stark palms. One of the most famous monuments of the city, the Ramnathaswamy temple is an exemplary example of Dravidian architecture. Adorned with massive corridors lined with ornate pillars, the temple boasts of the longest corridor in India, which is an incredible 4000 ft in length!

Return to Madurai by evening. Dinner and overnight at hotel.
