Day 03: Tirupati - Chennai
After having breakfast at the hotel, we hit the
road and move on to Chennai.
Reach Chennai and check in at the hotel. Chennai is the capital of Tamil Nadu and the fourth largest city in India. The first important site of settlement in India for the East India Company, the city may be conveniently divided into two parts, both with different flavours of their own. The narrow busy streets, chirping bazaars and enquiring eyes may be a bit unnerving, but if you can stand that for sometime, you are sure to get the experience of a lifetime. We have planned an extensive sightseeing tour of Chennai for you in the afternoon. Visit the Government Museum - The first Govt. sponsored museum in the country (1851) houses a rare aggregation of bronze and Buddhist antiques, Birla Planetarium - The dome shaped structure informs the visitors about recent scientific projects. The documentary screening is also of great interest, Marina Beach - It is the second largest and one of the most happening beaches in the world. Drive through scented streets of flower and fruit market. Other things to see include the Fort Museum, High Court, San Thome Cathedral and Snake Park. Get back to hotel. Relax in the evening. Dinner and night stay at Chennai. Evening Leisure Activities (Not included in package)
