North Indian Delights

The states of Jammu and Kashmir, Rajasthan, Punjab, Haryana and Uttar Pradesh along with some other states make up the north Indian region. The staple diet of people in this part of the country mainly comprises of rice, pulses and vegetables, yet the differing methods of preperation make the dishes seem entirely assorted from each other. East Indian Treats

The Indian states of Bihar, Jharkhand and West Bengal along with the seven north-eastern regions forms East India. While Bihar and Jharkhand are known for the 'litti chokha', Bengal is famed for macher jhol and sweets such as sandesh, rasagulla, pantua and chamcham. People in the north-east are mainly fond of non-vegetarian food consisting of a variety of animals.

West Indian Wonders

Probably the best place where you could get to feast on a wide array of cuisine while having to travel comparatively a shorter distance would be the western part of India. The states of Goa, Gujarat and Maharashtra offer entirely different flavours, especially when it comes to cuisine.
